M. Khurram Baig

Khurram Baig is a seasoned attorney with over two decades of distinguished legal experience and a reputation for delivering exceptional results in complex matters involving business law, litigation, and general counsel services. A graduate of Emory University and the Howard University School of Law, Khurram has dedicated his career to solving problems with precision, strategy, and integrity.
Born in Hyderabad, India, Khurram immigrated to the United States with his parents in 1979 and has called Georgia home ever since. He grew up in Stone Mountain, graduated from Redan High School, and later earned his undergraduate degree from Emory in 2000, where he was inducted into the Emory College Hall of Fame and selected as the Senior Class Commencement Speaker.
At Howard, Khurram continued to distinguish himself as Editor-in-Chief of the Social Justice Law Review and as a national Moot Court champion, earning the title of Best Oral Advocate at Whittier Law School’s national competition.
After earning his J.D. in 2003, Khurram practiced with several of Georgia’s most respected attorneys, refining his skills and developing a deep command of legal strategy and client advocacy. In 2012, he founded The Baig Firm with a clear mission: to provide holistic, results-driven legal representation to its clients. As Khurram likes to say, The Baig Firm is in the problem-solving business.
Today, Khurram is widely recognized as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, executives, and closely held companies. He serves as external general counsel to more than a dozen companies, delivering sophisticated legal solutions tailored to each client’s unique goals and challenges. Known for his sharp legal acumen and unwavering client commitment, Khurram remains deeply rooted in his community while operating at the highest levels of the legal profession.
Awards and Achievements
- Mr. Baig has been selected as a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers for six consecutive years (2012 – 2017), a member of the “Legal Elite” by Georgia Trend Magazine (2017), and one of the “Best of Gwinnett” by Gwinnett Magazine (2017).
- Mr. Baig is an alumnus of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyer’s Division’s Leadership Academy (2009), LEAD Atlanta (2011), and has served on the Board of Directors for the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division, the Georgia Supreme Court’s Commission on Interpreters and is a Past President of the South Asian Bar Association of Georgia and Georgia Association of Muslim Lawyers.
- Mr. Baig currently is a “Master” with the Lamar American Inn of Court, serves on the Advisory Board for the Emory University Center for Ethics, the State Bar of Georgia’s Committee on Professionalism, the Board of Directors for the Georgia Association of Muslim Lawyers, and the Board of Directors for New American Pathways.
